Wow, I need to get to my blog more often...seems it's been almost a year. The past 6 months or so things have been pretty interesting. I've relocated both residentially and professionally, and redesigned my site. I'm still in Northern Virginia, and I'm still in web front-end, but I've shifted to more of an application UI role, and am getting exposed to a wider variety of front-end work as a result as well as continuing to built my CSS experience. It's a change that's going to work out well for numerous reasons.

As for the new site design, I think it's a step in the right direction both aesthetically and functionally. I swapped the horizontal hover menu for the vertical tree menu, which I think provides a bit better organization, and I think the design has a bit more depth to it. I certainly appreciate critiques...so I'll point out that I've moved the Contact Form link to the upper right of every page, and mention that I've got a survey module in the works as well.

I believe I'll be putting some new content up soon, and updating some old stuff. I've got plenty of little feature enhancements in mind for the site, and the really fun part I think is that in-between building the new front-end and rebuilding some things in my content management system, I built a sort-of template framework that the whole site now runs on. My plan is to keep this design as the default, but add some sort of theme selection for new designs as an alternative to replacing the design entirely.
