Yay new job!

A month into my new job, and I still haven't blogged about it, this needs to change.

What a busy quarter of a year or so, I went on some job interviews, and am elated to be able to say that I'm now (and have been for the last month) working w/ a team of extremely talented software developers at Innovectra. Mostly my days are filled w/ CSS and other such related web site work, but I have gotten the chance to get out from behind the erie glow of monitors w/ the rest of the development team a time or two, as illustrated in this photo:

...out w/ some of the other development team geeks. Cheers!

What an intelligent, and seemingly agglutinant bunch!

What does Innovectra do, aside from employ me you might ask? Lots of things! The specialty is local search. We make web sites for phone book publishers primarily, but have plenty of other cool things going on like LeadStream. Not only do I get to work w/ this fabulous development team, and dozens of other great individuals in related roles such as IT, Marketing, Sales, Production, and Quality Assurance, but I get to promote web accessibility at a company that's an exponentially increasing presence, and positive influence on the web. If you're like me and concerned about global warming, you might be happy to know that the office is nearly paperless, and in theory, by making better phone book sites, decreasing the amount of trees used to make phone books.

It's a rare thing I think, but I actually found a job that's so enjoyable that I forget to go home at the end of the day a fair amount....and that's why I haven't blogged since January.
